Sara works with textual data to support research, teaching, and digital publication. She collaborates with faculty, students, and research teams on building online exhibits, designing databases, creating visualizations, performing network analysis, and analyzing texts. Her work often involves bridging technical processes with humanistic inquiry, with a focus on long-term preservation, usability, and clarity.
She began her digital humanities career at Emory as a text encoder for The Complete Prose of T.S. Eliot, a multiyear publication project in which she later assumed a managing role for technical work. Since then, her contributions have included supporting file management workflows, implementing optical character recognition processes, and managing content migration for the Sounding Spirit digital library. She is also part of the development team for Readux, an online platform for reading and annotating digitized texts, where she helps shape feature development and prepares and ingests content for publication.
