Steve’s academic research focuses on documentary film history and theory and on American music history. He has produced a number of documentary films including the feature length profile The Well-Placed Weed: The Bountiful Life of Ryan Gainey. He has produced several pieces for the online journal Southern Spaces, including an article about blues music in the lower Chattahoochee Valley.
